Philly from a Local’s Perspective

Places

It’s no secret that JetBlue is proud to call New York City home – but we’ve got big love for the City of Brotherly Love, too. Connected but not hectic, urban but not without its natural beauty, a weekend spent in Philly makes for a great trip, whether you’re visiting from a stone’s throw away or traveling cross-country. Add to that the city’s growing food scene and its surprisingly great shopping options, and you’ll quickly see that a three-day getaway to Philadelphia is the perfect way to hit “reset” while still sticking to the grid.

Art in the Age – Old City
“Art in the Age is one of the hippest boutiques in Philadelphia. It carries clothing and accessories for both men and women, has a Warby Parker showroom within it and supports independent artists by showcasing their work around the store. You’re guaranteed to find something you love any time you visit, but try to catch one of their First Friday events to taste their spirits!” – says Philadelphia @localeur Jade @jadembarnes

Win Win Coffee Bar – Spring Garden
“Win Win Coffee Bar, also known as W/N W/N, is an awesome spot that serves not only great coffee, but also booze and delectable food. From their bacon-cheddar scones to their Bloody Mariana, which features organic Fuji apple, beet and lemon, the Win Win Coffee Bar is hip, cool and a fun place to relax over the weekend.” – says Philadelphia @localeur Mollie @mollsnyder

Little Baby’s – Fishtown
“Little Baby’s is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for out-of-the-ordinary ice cream flavors. From Chocolate Avocado to Vanilla Matcha, LB’s has quite the selection! And bonus: Not only do they have tons of flavors, including vegan options, they’re also right next to Pizza Brain (one of the best pizza joints in Philly).” – says Philadelphia @localeur Danielle @danielle_conyers

Skirt – Rittenhouse Square
“If you’re in the Rittenhouse area and love high-end designers but prefer shopping in a boutique setting, Skirt is the boutique for you. Skirt has a team of stylists who work one-on-one with clients for their size, shape and style preferences. They take the stress of shopping off of you and make playing dress-up fun. Skirt has over 25 high-end brands for consumers to shop including DVF, J Brand, Missoni, Theory and more. If having your own ‘personal’ stylist is the way you like to shop, Skirt in Rittenhouse is the place to be!” – Jade Barnes

Village Whiskey – Rittenhouse Square
“If you’re willing to spend the money, this place has loaded burgers and a bourbon menu sure to brighten any day – and if you want a more high-end burger, Village Whiskey is the spot. Their biggest burger, The Whiskey King, is $26 and worth every penny. It even comes with foie gras on it! (Be sure to split that burger; I haven’t met many people who can eat it by themselves.) The duck fat fries or short rib fries on the side are absolutely worth adding to your meal.” – says Philadelphia @localeur Jess @jezzicasmith

Prima Pizza Taqueria – Passyunk Square
“Don’t be fooled by the name – they don’t serve pizza at Prima Pizza. But that’s okay, because they do serve up some of the most incredible tacos in all of Philadelphia and are open until 4 a.m. daily. When that late-night Mexican food craving strikes, don’t think twice. Prima Pizza is a great choice!” – Mollie Snyder

Little Nonna’s – Midtown Village
Little Nonna’s in Midtown Village has a great outdoor patio area for double-date nights in the summer. The delicious appetizer known as stracciatella will silence the table as it melts in your mouth. Come here to enjoy a traditional Italian meal and finish the night off with their decadent dessert menu. – Jade Barnes
